Whether you are new to cryptocurrency or an experienced trader, this guide walks you through everything you need to know on buying and trading crypto on Denode – including how to buy BTC, purchase stablecoins like USDT, and manage your crypto portfolio from start to finish.
Why Denode Is the Go-To Crypto Exchange
Fully-regulated and legally compliant
Denode operates in full compliance with the Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) Law and is officially registered with the Financial Regulatory Commission (FRC) – Mongolia's national financial regulatory authority. This ensures users can trade cryptocurrency in a secure, transparent, and legally compliant environment.
Advanced security infrastructure
The platform is built on ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified security systems, with customer asset segregation and regulated third-party custodians. Your funds and personal data are protected by institutional-grade security practices.
Wide range of digital assets
From Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) to DeFi tokens, stablecoins, and altcoins, Denode offers a broad selection of blockchain-based digital assets beyond tokenized stocks and Denode tokenized assets.
Transparent trading fees
Understanding costs is critical before you invest. Denode publishes a full breakdown of crypto trading fees and tokenized asset trading fees so you always know what you are paying before placing an order.
Intuitive Interface Across All Platforms
Denode is designed to be accessible for investors at every level, with a clean, modern interface available on desktop, tablets, and mobile. Our mobile portfolio dashboard displays total P&L, 24-hour P&L, visualizations that break down your portfolio performance across your crypto holdings, tokenized stocks, and Denode tokenized assets at a glance.
Step-by-Step Guide: How to Buy Crypto on Denode

- Visit the Denode website and click Register.
- Sign up using your email address and create a strong, unique password.
- Set up 2FA on your account to secure your Denode account.

Step 2: Complete KYC verification

- Go to My Account > KYC Verification > Verify
- Follow the steps to submit a government-issued photo ID, complete a liveness check, and verify your address.
For detailed instructions, see our KYC verification guide.
Step 3: Deposit funds
You have two options to fund your Denode crypto wallet:
Option A – Deposit fiat currency (e.g., USD)
- Go to your Global Crypto > Deposit
- Choose Deposit cash from local bank and follow the on-screen instructions.
If instructions are followed correctly, your funds will be in your wallet within 5 minutes. Please see the “FAQ” section below for common mistakes to avoid.
Option B – Deposit existing crypto
If you already hold digital assets on another platform, you can deposit them directly to your Denode wallet.
- Go to your Global Crypto > Deposit
- Choose Deposit crypto over blockchain
- Select the crypto asset you want to transfer > Select the blockchain network > Copy your Denode wallet address to initiate the transfer from your external wallet.
For a complete walkthrough of both methods, see our deposit and withdrawal guide.
Step 4: Buy a stablecoin (if depositing fiat)
If you deposited fiat currency, you will first need to convert it to USDT or another stablecoin to trade crypto assets. A stablecoin is a cryptocurrency whose value is pegged to a stable asset – typically the US dollar – meaning it doesn't fluctuate the way Bitcoin (BTC) or Ethereum (ETH) does, making it a reliable base currency for trading.
- Go to Global Crypto > USDT
- Select Buy USDT
- Enter the amount of USD you want to convert to USDT
- Review the details and confirm
Step 5: Research your chosen digital assets
Before placing any order, take time to research the blockchain assets you want to buy. Denode provides historical price data and market information for each listed asset. Supplement this with external sources or official project documentation.
Important: Cryptocurrency markets are highly volatile. Only invest what you can afford to lose.
